I have always seen the first perspective as the reason for a marital bond for homosexuals. But what are the specific goods that a FORMAL homosexual UNION give to society that cannot be given already independently? In the end, marriage is not just about the needs of the couple but it is the needs of the society too. Society needs children to carry on society. Homosexuals cannot produce children indepently. I see that there are two perspectives of marriage: (1) – marriage is a legal union to benefits the couple and (2) – marriage benefits society with a stabilitizing unit and children.
