To Disagree is to Appease and Morally Equivocate…

I’m still on hiatus, but I really wanted to post this. I was incensed with Rumsfield’s speech the other day that compared those who dare to question our involvement as it stands now in Iraq with those who would let fascism trample Europe in the 1940s, and accused them of moral confusion. Its not a surprise, though: Rumsfield and Cheney have used similar tropes before. It helped them win elections in 2004. I think they’re scared about 2006, and they’re dusting off the old rhetoric.

No time here to offer deep analysis. But, Keith Olberman answered Rumsfield with a biting commentary on his MSNBC show Countdown, and I wanted to commend it to you. Olberman is right on. Enjoy:
