Though you likely didn’t miss it, Kairosblog was down for about a week. One minute I had posted a sermon and had some comments about it on facebook, the next minute nothing was working (nor on my landing site at www.chadaherring.com or anything else on my webhost.) It appears malware was to blame, and my host’s lackluster support didn’t help. So I moved hosts, found some help to clean up the malware, and we’re moving forward. It necessitated fresh installs of my WordPress engine (studiopress) and theme (Metro Pro). It introduced me to a nice new host (A Small Orange, which from reviews promise to be much more responsive). It wouldn’t have been possible without the capable technical assistance of Jeremy Tolbert at Clockpunk Studios (and, incidentally, I think he could probably help out with all sorts of webpage and facebook issues, and you should give him a call if that’s you).
I’ve also re-done a header and tweaked the look and feel here and there. The old links should work fine, though I’m pondering changing the permalinks structure (kind of rendering silly the “perma” in “permalink”). Let me know what you think of the current iteration of the blog.
Mainly, this post is to test out a few settings and to mark the work. Glad you stopped by, and ever grateful for your reading the sorts of things I post from time to time.
